Fraser-Pryce set a new world record in Switzerland.

BELLINZONA, SLOVENIA — Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce finished her season on a high note on Tuesday, setting a meet record of 10.78 seconds (0.5m/s) in Bellinzona, Switzerland, at the World Athletics continental tour silver series competition.

Fraser-mark Pryce’s of 10.80 seconds was her eighth this season, and she joined Natoya Goule as Jamaican champions in the competition.

Two Swiss athletes, Olympic finalists Mujinga Kambundji (10.99 seconds) and Ajla Del Ponte (11.11 seconds), followed her to the finish line, with another Jamaican, Natasha Morrison, fourth in 11.17 seconds.

Goule won the women’s 800m in 1:58.20, finishing ahead of American Chanelle Price (1:59.75) and Sweden’s Lovisha Lindh (1:59.94).

Jaheel Hyde was fifth in the men’s 400m hurdles, clocking 49.73 seconds, his slowest time in months as Brazil’s Alison dos Santos won in 48.15 seconds.
